During the last year of her undergraduate studies, she began to work in some of the most important magazines and newspapers in Colombia as an Editorial Designer while at the same time working on her own projects.
Last year she did a Master in Digital Publishing in Bau (Barcelona University Center of Design) as well as an internship as a photographer.
She is now based in Cannes, working as a freelance in editorial, photography and illustration.
This series was made over the last couple of years, during Lola Dunham’s travels across Colombia and Spain.
Lola Dunham wanted to give the spectators a sense of the vulnerability of her subjects and play with the idea of escaping into ideal landscapes, where we are free of the bounds of the world.
Currently she is working on a series of photographs about the art of being an immigrant, the art of handling one’s own vulnerability in order to create a home as one moves from country to country, how, in doing so, one keeps changing intractably fast, and how borders are a constant threat to that process.
