CONTEMPORARY STYLE AND URBAN OUTDOOR

Nixon Watches: a wonderful world

Nixon is an American brand, founded in 1997 in Encinitas, California. With its innate love for detailed design based on a deep respect for every user, the brand presents at Pitti a selection of amazing little things. Guided by Angelique, a lovely French girl, we have really appreciated the cool collaboration with Disney for the 90th anniversary of Mickey Mouse and their customisation service in the stand that replicates the services of Nixon’s customisation bar located in Carnaby Street and Seven Dials in London, in Le Marais district in Paris, Prince St in New York and Bondi and Chadstone in Australia.

We have experienced the service and to be quite honest we have been amazed by the final result. We liked so much the final result that we cannot separate ourselves from our Nixon Watches.

Cos: the soma collection

Presented through the choreography of Wayne McGregor, Cos presented a capsule that explores our everyday body gestures, to create a timeless collection that aims at representing a milestone for the forthcoming years.

Stutterheim: the Swedish melancholy conquers Florence

The iconic Swedish brand of raincoats, lands in Florence with a selection of special waterproof garments and footwear where the typical Swedish rubberized oilskins marries technical removable lining, for a unique 2-1 jackets that we absolutely would love to wear during the chilly raining days in Milan.

Bellroy: the most innovative way to carry

Brand of cute leather accessories from Australia, Bellroy is one of the coolest B Corp of the planet. They explained us with unique passion the quality and the features of their bags and accessories. Rarely we have met a team so committed into such a continuous quest for innovation in design, with a natural sensibility for environmental sustainability.

Woolrich: green exploration

Woolrich brings its outdoor heritage to the future, defining a new green path. Immersed into a perfectly designed jungle, the brand introduced its’ three-layer collection and the second edition of its collaboration with Jeff Griffin, fresh, functional and versatile like no other.

A multimedia journey into the profound relationship between supporter culture, football jersey iconography, and fashion design.

Kappa x Soft

One of the freshest and most innovative retailers of the last years collaborates with KAPPA, for an excellent capsule collection, made of the legendary black tracksuit, personalized with the minimal and creative attitude of Store Of The Future. The collection is available on the official website of the store (HERE) and at the Florentine shop.

Kappa: Q1Q2 2019 collection

The spirit of the 90’s reflected into one of the coolest collection hosted in this edition of Pitti Uomo. So breathtaking that we would love to own almost everything. A special mention is due to the gray fear jeans with the typical Kappa lateral band.

Pony x Yong Bae Seok

The legendary brand from New York is playing a new strategic role in the sneakers market, with a huge comeback. The exclusive collaboration presented with the Korean designer Yong Bae Seok moves forward from the brand heritage to sign a new contemporary aesthetic. Absolutely a brand to watch!

NEXT BIG THINGS AND NEW STARS

There are some projects, guided by young designers and entrepreneurs that excited us. Here the names on which you should keep an eye on, if you haven’t done yet.

Band of Outsiders: a contemporary classic

Founded in L. A. in 2004, the brand is now guided by Design Director Angelo Van Mol and Brand Director Daniel Hettmann. Their Pitti show, inspired by a school trip to Italy, was huge. We met them and loved their approach. We really admired their impeccable craftsmanship, perfectly matched with a contemporary “humor”, that makes every garment so classic and terribly modern. Their collaboration with Sergio Tacchini perfectly reflects their aesthetics and shows how this brand is one of the few that better reflects the spirit of our times.

Danilo Paura: rivoluzione romantica

Few Italian dudes in the last years have influenced the industry such as Danilo did. He has a new romantic and creative approach that is so cool, as well as the collection he created, is terrific. The collaboration with Kappa is simply breathtaking. His quest for new innovative craftsmanship, connected with fresh design and love for sharing a revolutionary message is what makes Danilo Paura one of the coolest designers on the scene.

Reglan United: unisex attitude made in Tuscany

A brand of stunning coats and raincoats from Tuscany. We would like to have every single piece in their collection of coats. Their search for equality and diversity reflects their design, available only in two unisex sizes. The quality of the fabrics and the innovation involved in their garments is enormous. One of the Italian brands to watch.

The silted company: so fresh and so cool

These guys from Forlì are indeed the coolest in the world. They are now at their 5th collection. It’s like a version of GOLF by Tyler the Creator that meets Supreme that meets Gucci (an exaggeration? Take a look and tell us what you think!).

Well done:  inspirations 90s style

This gorgeous Korean brand – a melting pot of inspirations 90s style – represents a real experience for connoisseurs. The logo changes and cites all the most famous brands of that period like Von Dutch or Fornarina. Rarely beautiful and sophisticated.

BEST SET-UP: BEST USER EXPERIENCE

Z Zegna: inspired by tennis

Inspired by 70’s tennis equipment, the collection is a perfect match for Zegna’s fabrics heritage and the contemporary vision of Alessandro Sartori. The colors are those of a tennis match, the blue of the sky, red, yellow and natural white. With garments in Techmerino® – water resistant and breathable at the same time – the collection is absolutely above average such as the huge and detailed staging, recreating a fascinating background for the collection.
