Marshall Scheuttle, born 1984, is a recent graduate of the University of Hartford MFA program (class of 2018).
About ‘Morning Star‘:
In his series MorningStar, Scheuttle explores life in the city of Las Vegas from the perspective of a new resident who embeds himself over time. Scheuttle photographs with a view camera and often exhibits his work in large scale. Images from MorningStar often have an ill sense of stillness, as if these exist preceding a violent or unsettling action. People and places hang on the edge of a looming chaos in a series that illustrates the desperate nature of life in the neon city.
