Lilia Carlone

Analog photography
intimacy

Lilia Carlone says about herself:

“I was born in 1991 in a city that I never saw again, I grew up in the backstage of theaters and on the Volvo backseat of my mother. When the age allows me to take decisions I asked my mother to buy me a reflex digital camera.

Years go by and my passion for image and moving image grew with me. When I was 19 years old I started to do a music video and short film for fun, it’s 5 years by now that I work as video/film maker. This brings me to reject a digital still image, known as well as photography, I wanted to research something pure and deeper than that.

Film photography has been able to make me feel really connected with my photography, I feel pure and sheer when I show my pictures because I can’t, and I won’t hide anything.”
