Pietro Percoco was born in 1987. He grew up in Italy (Bari) but spent a lot of time in Venezuela during his childhood.
In 2010 studies at the University of Forestry and environmental sciences in Bari leaving after two years to devote himself to photography. Between 2011 and 2012 stage at collective of photographers Cesura in province of Milan.
The Piero project, Motel Paradise, is set in the city of Bari and it is a “magic” meeting with people and their rooms.
In particular, it is about Maria, a beautiful and totally shameless woman who has decided to collaborate on the production of this magnificent photographic project, which form a commercially project has become an intimate project .
Maria started talking to our photographer telling old stories. Mary and her husband traveled all over the world. They had no children and so decided to fill the void with incredibly kitsch objects, remember their travels. The lower level of their home (covered with a green carpet) was designed in the 70’s, the fashion runways. Today their guests sleep on the same carpet, in this wonderful life, out of time and space. There is a veil of mystery around Piero Percoco images, doesn’t like too much to explain his images, he prefers to let the mind of the viewer can fly in the imagination.
We asked Piero to identify three words that could identify with the word Tomorrow and, keeping his cryptic, replied: Death, Singularity, Elephant.
