Emilie Delmond says : ” Hello ! I’m Emilie, self-taught photographer. half french, haf belgian.
I’m obsessed with light.
I can look at beautiful photos all day long …. especially those filled with beautiful lights.
Light opens my imagination and makes me see things with different eyes.
Light is what makes me push my camera’s shutter-button.
…and also what makes me decide my next travel destination. ”
In 2012, I returned to a special place I had the opportunity to visit 2 years ago, under the sun, in Laos. This time, the area stood under the rain, the wind, creating a darker atmosphere… This is a salt factory. Workers evaporate water in large flat tanks. Once the water has evaporated, only remains the salt, then transported in wicker baskets to larger storage. The ponds are filled with boiling water, the heat and the humidity are suffocating… Elderly people work bent and children play right in the middle.
We are but few kilometers away from Vientiane, the capital, nevertheless this place seems to belong to another time, another world…
