Austin Reynolds, (b.1993) is from Saint. Augustine, Florida. Reynolds is a fine art photographer based in Santa Rosa, California where he is currently attending Santa Rosa Junior College for Digital Filmmaking.
About ‘Close Ties’:
This series was created at the end of 2016 and beginning of 2017 at a time of turmoil. My fiance was soon about to leave to serve some legality issues across the country, the income to sustain housing in the bay area was unfathomable, and it was up to my father and me to secure a reasonable living environment.
At the heart, despite problems that occur, the family is all someone has got whether that be living or not. Showcasing the emotional repercussions during this episode was painstaking at the time, but once the photos sat and time went on, the photos became subjective and I became unbiased upon them.
