Alexandra Von Fuerst says about herself:
“My real name is Alessandra Bergamin, I am an italian photographer currently working and living in Paris. My focus is mostly on fashion even if my projects are on the edge of art photography. At the moment my work revolves on the sculptural aspect of the body which can be shaped and twisted becoming a changing object in space. The place surrounding the subject becomes therefore of crucial importance as well and alternates between emptiness and fulness in which the body melts with its surroundings. Most of my work presents a strong colour component, used to stress this relation between subject and space.
Currently based in Paris, my work blends art and fashion photography in a celebration of the female form in its deepest essence. Entering surreal spaces, the subject is often abstracted to challenge the perception of the image itself and create new meaning to its original context.”

Alexandra Von Fuerst’s oeuvre revolves around forms but is also expressive in colour, being at the same time subtle and bold. Playing with shapes and movements, photographer modifies body silhouettes by creating new relationship with their settings.
“The details I depict are often born from a curiosity towards science. The relationship between the human subject and space, the natural and artificial elements it relates to, is central to me. I believe there is a strong connection and unity in the world which is created, broken and regenerated in a constant circle.”
